Special guests included WRAL Mix 101.5 DJs, The Apex Chamber of Commerce, Apex City Council Members, The Mayor Pro Tem of Apex, Gene Schulze, and of course The Better Dental Tooth (all thoroughly drenched by the end of the party).

Our memorable day became even more memorable when the party tent (despite being “secured” by stakes) raised several feet of the ground and nearly blew away, attempting to take all of us with it.

Our carefully crafted balloon arch was completely shredded by the wind and subsequently peppered the neighborhood with bits of blue and white latex. Please don’t even ask what the rain did to our cardboard signs and streamers (hint: it wasn’t pretty.)But no tornado warning could keep us from opening Better Dental with gusto. Dr. Draper cut our ribbon in the rain, and we refused to move the party indoors until the weather became truly dangerous.

We could not be more grateful for the many people who weathered the storm to support us and everyone who helped make Better Dental’s Grand Opening one to remember. Thanks, Apex! We love you already.

(As an aside, would you look at the size of those ribbon-cutting scissors? We still can’t believe how preposterously big they were.)
