When you need oral surgery, you want to be in the right hands. Our gentle, experienced dentists here at Better Dental can help relieve your pain by removing damaged, heavily decayed teeth or restore your bite by placing dental implants where those teeth used to be.
We know this kind of work can feel scary, so we make every effort to create a safe, welcoming environment for all of our patients. Each of our dentists makes the effort to listen and offer compassionate support, and we always provide sedation along with comforts like blankets, pillows, and Netflix in each of our exam rooms.

Dental implants are the best option for replacing missing teeth. An implant is like a titanium screw that is inserted into your jawbone where the root of your original tooth used to be. Your dentist can then place a crown or bridge on top of the implant in order to give you beautiful, functional new teeth, or use the implant to help secure dentures more firmly in place.
Implants typically last a lifetime with proper care, although the crowns or dentures on top will need to be replaced over time. Types of implants include:
- Single implant. If you have a single missing tooth, your dentist can place an implant and top it with a crown. The result will be almost indistinguishable from your original tooth.
- Bridge. Like a traditional bridge, an implant-supported bridge can be used to fill in a larger gap in your smile. However, the bridge attaches to several implants, rather than to two of your remaining teeth, which provides for a studier, more secure bite.
- Implant-supported dentures. Traditional dentures clip into place, which means they can easily come loose and even fall out of your mouth. However, we can install a series of implants that can help hold your dentures in place more securely, so you can feel confident going about your day.
- Full arch implants. If you’re ready to take a step up from dentures, we can use implants to give you a full new set of teeth. Our dentists perform the All-on-4 technique that uses implants topped with bridges to restore both the appearance and the function of your original teeth. If properly maintained, these implants will last a lifetime.
Sometimes, a tooth is too far gone to save. In that case, our goal is to perform the extraction gently, quickly, and with minimal discomfort. This will eliminate the uncomfortable feeling from the decaying tooth, avoid the danger of infection, and improve the overall quality of your health.
It may feel scary to schedule that appointment, but we promise that between our effective sedation techniques and compassionate care, it’ll be over before you know it.
Wisdom tooth extraction
Your wisdom teeth are molars located in the far back of your mouth, behind the teeth you normally use for chewing. Sometimes, they can cause pain or present an opportunity for infection, at which point they should be removed.
Our gentle, skilled dentists are experts at extracting problem wisdom teeth. We’ll make the procedure as quick as we can and use safe, effective sedation to keep you comfortable the whole time.
